Protecting your health and preventing serious illness is vital. We are proactive about screening and would encourage all patients over the age of 35 to have their blood pressure and baseline blood tests checked at least once. This is important to establish a reference point, and to screen for risk factors for chronic diseases (such as heart disease, high cholesterol, and diabetes).
We aim to record smoking status, alcohol use, exercise levels, and body mass index (BMI - a test for obesity), on all patients who register with the practice, and will advise you on the steps you could take for a healthier lifestyle.
For those who want a more in-depth health screen, we offer Well Man, and Well Woman checks. These are comprehensive health reviews looking at your full medical and family history, full physical exam, blood tests, lung function test, and any relevant investigations (e.g. ECG) deemed necessary.

CONSULTATIONS

New Patients: we currently have no capacity to take on new patients. We are prioritising pregnant women and babies needing vaccinations, in those with no local GP. We cannot take on patients who already have a GP in the area
Repeat Prescriptions
There is a 48 hour turnaround for repeat prescriptions, letters etc. More complicated forms will take longer. An emergency 7 day supply of medication can usually be obtained from the pharmacy if needed.
